Congratulations to all of the award winners on their excellent results on the 2021 National German Exam!

On behalf of all of the Board Members of the American Association of Teachers of German, Maryland/DC Metro Chapter, we commend them for taking part in the testing program during this exhausting Covid-19 year and for their achievement.  Although we cannot celebrate in person as we traditionally do, we are joining with the German Society of Maryland to honor them and acknowledge their hard work in learning German.

Each awardee will receive a certificate, medal and a generous monetary award, made possible through the educational fund of the German Society of Maryland.

**NGE Waldsee Scholarship Awards!**

This summer, Naomi Breuer and Sabrina Lussier, two high school students of German who took the NGE and scored above the 90th percentile, have been awarded an AATG/Waldsee Scholarship to attend a German Immersion in Concordia, Minnesota. Their hard work and dedication to the German language and culture was supported through their teachers at the GLC under the directorship of Kerstin Hopkins.
